Hi, I’m Ally J. Taylor, founder of R8 Engage.

I created R8 Engage around a pretty simple belief: people are at the heart of every successful business, brand, decision and idea. I’ve spent more than 25 years leading teams, building businesses, navigating change, developing brands and working with people through growth, transition and some pretty significant turning points.

Along the way, I learned something that has stayed with me: People put numbers on reports, not the other way around. Behind every result is a story. There are people, decisions, experiences, relationships and patterns that brought you to where you are today. That’s where I like to start.

​

Sometimes that means helping a business understand what’s really driving performance. Sometimes it’s helping a leader find their voice, building a brand that actually feels like the people behind it, or sitting with someone who is trying to figure out what comes next in their career or life. And sometimes, it means cards.

 

For over two decades, I’ve also used conversation, history, personal experience, intuition, insight and cards as part of reflective readings. For me, that work has never felt completely separate from leadership, consulting or mentorship. The tools may be different, but the approach is remarkably similar: listen closely, understand the story, recognize the patterns and look at what might be sitting just beneath the surface.

 

I’m not interested in surface-level answers or one-size-fits-all solutions. I ask questions. I listen. I look for what may have been missed. And then I help turn those insights into something useful, whether that’s a strategy, a new direction, a different perspective or simply a little more clarity.
